A national resource and development centre

The National Centre for Swedish as a Second Language at the University of Stockholm is a national resource and development centre, commissioned by the Swedish government (SFS 2007:1475). Its area of responsibility is limited to the area of Swedish as a second language and includes all school levels from preschool to adult education.

The National Centre does not arrange language courses

The National Centre of Swedish as a Second Language does not arrange any Swedish language courses. If you are a newcomer to Sweden you should contact the municipality where you live. Each municipality organizes courses in Swedish for immigrants (so called sfi).
